Dribbling – Bring it Home

This is a brilliant game for the kids.

It really lets them have freedom to run with a ball, whilst working together as a team to win the game.

As well as ball control and dribbling skills they will have to be aware what is happening around them and what the other teams are doing.

Dribbling – Bring it Home – How it Works

Split your players into 4 equal teams.

Mark out a pitch and make 4 bases in the corners. Put all your footballs in the middle of the pitch.

On the whistle players run to the middle and get one ball at at time and”Bring it Home”

They keep going until all the balls have gone from the middle.

As soon as this happens a 2 minute countdown starts.

Players must now steal balls from the opposition bases and bring it home to theirs.

Players are not allowed to stop balls being taken from their base.

They are only allowed to take 1 ball at a time and MUST dribble it back to their own base. They cannot pass it back.

Players cannot raid the same base twice in a row

Encourage them to use both feet, encourage them to do any tricks or skills they like.

You can rffer a bonus point for excellent pieces of skill if you really want to see what they have got.

If you see players “Kick and Rushing” and not having the ball under control, return the ball back to the base it came from.

Team with the most balls in their base at the end wins.
