Our Grassroots Football – Football Data System is driven by our “Unique” Matchday Teamsheet giving Coaches a fantastic way to track their teams and players performances over their season.
What you get
When you receive your Teams Football Data System, it will come with 4 distinct sections.
- The Cover
- Season Overview
- Detailed Statistics
- 50 x Matchday Teamsheet Templates
All of these will be setup in your Club Colours, with your Club Badge and with the all of the Players Names set in the 3 main sections with all the calculations for the season in place.
Sections 1, 2, & 3 will look like as follows when you first get your package – Your player names will replace Player 1, Player 2 etc
Matchday Teamsheet
Depending on what age team you run, your Matchday Teamsheet will differ slightly.
Each having features that are either unique to the age group or an increased number of player spots available.
Under 7’s & Under 8’s
The Under 7’s & Under 8’s Matchday Teamsheet differs the most from the others as it is broken down into 4 quarters, rather than 2 halves. As, in general, games at this level are played in 4 x 10 minute periods.
They key points are
- Minutes played
- Goals
- Assists
- Clean Sheets
The Maximum number of players that our Teamsheet calculates for is 12 Players.
For each quarter, record the position the player played in, how many minutes, any goals, assists or clean sheets, and these results will automatically calculate in the OVERALL Section.
Its in this section where you must add a 1 in the Player of the Match Column.
Under 9’s and Under 10’s
The Under 9’s and Under 10’s reverts back to traditional 2 halves for matches and the stats are set up accordingly.
Again, the key points are
- Minutes played
- Goals
- Assists
- Clean Sheets
The Maximum number of players that our Teamsheet calculates for is 13 Players.
For each half, record the position the player played in, how many minutes, any goals, assists or clean sheets, and these results will automatically calculate in the OVERALL Section.
Its in this section where you must add a 1 in the Player of the Match Column.
Under 11’s to Under 13’s
The Under 11’s to Under 13’s reverts is the same as above
Again, the key points are
- Minutes played
- Goals
- Assists
- Clean Sheets
The Maximum number of players that our Teamsheet calculates for is 16 Players.
For each half, record the position the player played in, how many minutes, any goals, assists or clean sheets, and these results will automatically calculate in the OVERALL Section.
Its in this section where you must add a 1 in the Player of the Match Column.
Under 14’s to Adult
The final template includes two more Key points, as Yellow and Red Cards come into play

The Maximum squad size that our Teamsheet calculates for is 19 Players.
How to Use the Matchday Teamsheet
The Matchday Teamsheet drives the whole system, before each game you will need to fill in the Fixture details.
Whichever age group you are running, the header of the Matchday Teamsheet is the same and will look like the below.
Before you print it off and have it ready to take to your game you need to fill in a few details.
It’s this information that will drive the Fixtures & Results section of the Season and Overview, so it’s important to fill it in correctly. The Key Information required is as follows:
- Date
- Competition Name
- Competition (Drop Down List: Friendly, League, Cup & Tournament)
- Location
- Home Team
- Home Team Full Time Score
- Home Team Half Time Score
- Your Scorers (If at home)
- Away Team
- Away Team Half Time Score
- Away Team Full Time Score
- Your Scorers (If Away)
Once completed your header should look like the below image. Now you Matchday Teamsheet is ready to be printed and taken to the game.
Important Information
Your Team name should be entered the exact same way that it appears on the Cover page (Minus the age Group part), this allows the Fixtures and Results & Form sections to correctly pick up the information
Matchday
So it’s Matchday, you have your printed teamsheet and you’re good to go.
Pick your team and enter the positions alongside the players names, as the game progresses, enter any key elements, such as goals scored, assists, minutes played and clean sheet, for each half. Enter any substitutions and who the game on for.
Your Teamsheet should progress as follows, and when the game has finished, when you get home, copy the information back into the system.
Season Overview Tab
The Season Overview tab is where all the information from the 50 Matchday Teamsheets ends up and compiles all the data.
At the start of the season it will be blank, apart from the players names.
The Season Overview is 95% automated, and 5% requires some manual input.

- Player Statistics (All Competitions)

- Player of the Match
Fixtures & Results Section
As mentioned earlier, all the information that is input on each of the Matchday Teamsheets feeds through to this page and in this particular section it is all the information from the header.
For ever game played, the information from the header will appear and build your record over the course of the season.
Its completely automated, with the exception of a couple of bits of formatting you may or may not wish to add.
In the example below, we add formatting to the Competition, Our Team Name, and Colour to the Result Type.
As you fill in each game, and it appears in the Fixtures and Results section, on the far right, “Report” will appear. It is hear when you highlight that cell, and then add a hyperlink back to the matchday tab.
As your complete your fixtures and your season progresses this, and all the other sections will start to fill out giving you your clubs seasons story. as per below

There are 4 manual elements to this page
- 1. Sorting the 4 “Top” tables – Golden Boot, Golden Glove, Playmaker & player of the match. For these, just highlight the rows required and select Sort, (Row S for Golden Boot & Glove, Row AA for Playmaker & POTM)
- 2. Adding the form bar to the form section. Each week, add the W, D, L as per the result. Highlight each one and add the Colour
- 3. Formatting the Fixture and results. Add the Colour to the results, Set your Team to bold, Set format to Fixture type.
- 4. When a fixture is completed. Report will pop up on the right hand side. Highlight this, and right click to add a Hyperlink to the match report page.
